Job summary

Highgate Hotels is seeking a Chief Engineer for the Hampton Inn Sedona. You will lead day-to-day operations of the engineering division and, in the absence of the Director, assume administrative, financial and operating responsibilities related to engineering.

Responsibilities include maintaining property and equipment, ensuring compliance with laws, supervising staff, budgeting, preventative maintenance, and participating in safety and energy conservation programs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive facilities management experience in a hotel or related field.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Licenses or certifications as required by local code.
• Strong leadership, communication and guest-service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement plans to maintain property, equipment and assets in safe condition.
• Ensure hotel compliance with local, state and federal laws.
• Supervise and train Engineering staff in service, SOPs and safety.
• Create and post Engineering staff schedules and budgets.
• Assist in financial forecasts and monthly P/L review meetings.
• Implement preventative maintenance for hotel equipment.
• Support energy conservation programs and safety initiatives.
• Assist with vendor contracts and room maintenance requests.
