Job summary

Highgate Hotels seeks a Chief Engineer for Hampton Inn Sedona to manage day-to-day engineering operations on-site. The role involves planning maintenance, supervising staff, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance in a hospitality environment.

You will help develop budgets, participate in financial reviews, and drive energy efficiency while delivering reliable service to guests and events at the Sedona property.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of progressive facilities management experience in a hotel or related field.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement maintenance plans to keep property, equipment and assets in safe, well‑maintained condition.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state and federal laws.
• Supervise and train Engineering staff in customer service, SOPs and loss prevention.
• Create and post Engineering staff schedules and manage the department budget.
• Assist in financial forecasting and participate in monthly P/L reviews.
• Maintain preventive maintenance programs and life safety systems per Highgate standards.
• Support energy conservation initiatives and timely issue resolution for guest and meeting planner feedback.
