Job summary

Highgate Hotels in Las Vegas is seeking a Chief Engineer to oversee day-to-day operations of the engineering division and, in the Director's absence, assume administrative and financial duties related to engineering.

The role requires 3+ years in facilities management in hotels, a High School diploma (or equivalent), and a relevant license if required by local code. You will manage maintenance, energy programs, safety compliance, budgets, and vendor contracts.

Qualifications

• Progressive facilities management experience in a hotel or related field; or a 2-year college degree with 1 year of related management experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Stationary Engineer’s license if required by local code.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing plans to maintain property, equipment, grounds and other assets in a safe and acceptable state of repair.
• Ensure the hotel is in compliance with all local, state and federal laws.
• Supervise and train all Engineering staff in Customer Service, Empowerment, SOPs and Loss Prevention.
• Create and post all Engineering staff schedules.
• Create and adhere to annual budget for department.
• Assist in developing financial forecasts and participate in monthly profit/loss reviews.
