Job summary

Aimbridge Hospitality's Hyatt Place Albuquerque Airport is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead our engineering team and keep all hotel systems in peak condition. You’ll supervise maintenance, coordinate safety drills, and respond quickly to guest needs, while managing shift schedules and staying within budget.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 5+ years hotel/related experience, or 2-year degree with 3+ years, or 4-year degree with 2+ years.
• Supervisory experience required.
• Current certifications as required (e.g., HVAC, pool, electrical).
• Licensed to operate/repair boilers and chillers per local laws.
• Valid driver''s license.
• Strong communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Calm under pressure.
• Financial and arithmetic proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance of guest rooms and public spaces to hotel standards.
• Lead, train, and schedule the engineering team.
• Conduct fire safety inspections and drills.
• Respond to maintenance requests and uphold guest service scores.
• Patrol grounds and manage Lost and Found.
• Access sensitive areas and represent the company with sound judgment.
