The St. Joe Company is seeking a Senior Property Accountant to oversee general accounting for our hospitality properties. You will prepare and review journal entries, reconcile accounts, and support month-end close and budgeting activities.

Expect weekly property site visits and participation in leadership meetings to drive accuracy and performance. This role emphasizes strong analytical capabilities, strict adherence to GAAP, and effective communication across property teams and corporate

Qualifications

• Background in GAAP accounting and close processes
• Strong analytical/problem-solving capabilities
• Effective verbal and written communication
• Ability to work independently and with teams
• Knowledge of internal controls and regulatory requirements
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Experience with hospitality/real estate accounting systems is a plus

Responsabilités

• Prepare and review journal entries daily and monthly
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and verify postings
• Maintain fixed assets and vehicle schedules
• Perform month-end close activities and inventory spot checks
• Analyze P&L with management and compare to budget/last year
• Monitor accounts receivable and potential write-offs
• Lead budgeting and forecasting processes with property leadership
• Conduct KPI analyses and present findings to property teams
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements
• Support audits and respond to external/internal requests
• Collaborate with property leadership in weekly meetings
