Job summary

The St. Joe Company is seeking a Senior Property Accountant to oversee general accounting for our hospitality properties in Panama City Beach.

You will review reconciliations, prepare journal entries, maintain the general ledger, and guide budgeting and forecasting activities. Frequent property visits and participation in leadership meetings are required to ensure accurate reporting and strong internal controls.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with accounting software and regulatory requirements.
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with multiple accounting platforms.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review journal entries daily and monthly.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and verify transactions.
• Maintain fixed assets and vehicle schedules across locations.
• Perform month-end close and support quarterly inventory spot checks.
• Analyze P&L with property, budgets, and variances.
• Manage budgeting and forecasting collaboration with property teams.
• Conduct KPI analysis and report insights to leadership.
• Support internal controls, audits, and regulatory compliance.
