A prominent law firm located in New York City, NY, is seeking an experienced Senior Associate to join its dynamic Hospitality, Travel, and Tourism practice group. The role involves advising a diverse client portfolio on a range of operational concerns, including marketing strategies, distribution models, procurement activities, and privacy/data protection, with a strong focus on drafting and negotiating IT and information systems agreements. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with a seasoned practice leader in a highly regarded national practice.
Advise hospitality, travel, and tourism clients on operational, marketing, procurement, and distribution matters.
Draft, review, and negotiate technology and information services agreements.
Counsel clients on issues related to data privacy, cybersecurity, and intellectual property within the hospitality sector.
Maintain strong relationships with both local and international clients, including hotels, cruise lines, tour operators, travel agencies, and restaurants.
Collaborate closely with partners, associates, and legal support teams on client engagements.
Participate in internal initiatives supporting public service and diversity efforts.
5 to 8 years of substantive experience in commercial transactions, preferably with a focus on hospitality or travel sectors.
Hands-on exposure to marketing, distribution, and procurement within the lodging, travel, or tourism industries.
Familiarity with privacy law, data protection regulations, and intellectual property issues is highly valued.
Strong analytical, writing, research, and verbal communication skills.
Proven ability to manage client relationships and deliver client-centered service.
Collaborative mindset, with the ability to work efficiently in team settings.
Active license to practice law.
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Admission to the Bar in good standing.
Deep understanding of contractual negotiations and technology transactions.
