Job summary

The King and Prince Beach & Golf Resort is seeking an Accounting Manager on a full-time basis in St. Simons Island, GA. The role oversees daily accounting, cash management, revenue review, payroll processing, tax filings, and financial recordkeeping to ensure accurate reporting.

The position works with resort leadership and HR, emphasizes internal controls, reconciliations, and month-end close, and requires hospitality accounting experience and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in hospitality.
• Hands-on experience with reconciliations, payroll processing, tax filings, and journal entries.
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Record and reconcile daily bank, deposits, credit card, and cash activity.
• Review hotel, restaurant, POS, and night-audit revenue reports.
• Investigate revenue, tax, service-charge, and cash-handling discrepancies.
• Prepare and process bi-weekly payroll and record in the general ledger.
• Prepare and support sales tax, occupancy tax, use tax, and other filings.
• Complete journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close support.
• Maintain organized financial records and audit documentation.
• Partner with resort leaders to strengthen accounting procedures and internal controls.
• Provide guidance on cash handling, payroll documentation, approvals, and deadlines.
