Job summary

Qualifications

• Three or more years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within hospitality.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Experience with cash reconciliations, revenue review, payroll, tax filings, and journal entries.
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, internal controls, and month-end close support.
• Familiarity with hospitality accounting practices and USALI concepts preferred.
• Experience with software, payroll systems, POS platforms, and spreadsheets.

• Review hotel, restaurant, POS, and night-audit revenue reports.
• Investigate revenue, tax, service-charge, and cash-handling discrepancies.
• Prepare and process bi-weekly payroll and record in the general ledger.
• Prepare and support sales tax, occupancy tax, use tax filings.
• Complete journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close support.
• Maintain organized financial records and audit documentation.
• Partner with resort leaders to strengthen accounting procedures and internal controls.
• Provide guidance regarding cash handling, payroll documentation, approvals, and accounting deadlines.

Salary Range: $65,000.00 To $75,000.00 Annually

The King and Prince Beach & Golf Resort is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to support the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of our property-level financial operations.

This hands-on role is responsible for daily accounting, cash management, revenue review, bi-weekly payroll processing, tax-filing support, reconciliations, and financial recordkeeping. The Accounting Manager will work closely with resort leaders, Human Resources, and the Senior Controller or Director of Finance to maintain strong internal controls, resolve variances, and support reliable financial reporting.

What You’ll Do

Record and reconcile daily bank, deposit, credit card, and cash activity.

Review hotel, restaurant, point-of-sale, and night-audit revenue reports.

Investigate revenue, tax, service-charge, and cash-handling discrepancies.

Prepare and process bi-weekly payroll and record completed payrolls in the general ledger.

Prepare and support sales tax, occupancy tax, use tax, and other required filings.

Complete journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close support.

Maintain accurate, organized financial records and audit documentation.

Partner with resort leaders to strengthen accounting procedures and internal controls.

Provide guidance regarding cash handling, payroll documentation, approvals, and accounting deadlines.

What You’ll Bring

Three or more years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a hotel, resort, restaurant, food and beverage, or other multi-department operation.

A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent hospitality accounting experience may be considered.

Hands-on experience with cash reconciliations, revenue review, payroll processing, tax filings, journal entries, and account reconciliations.

A strong understanding of general ledger accounting, internal controls, and month-end close support.

Knowledge of hospitality accounting practices and USALI concepts is preferred.

Experience working with accounting software, payroll systems, property management systems, point-of-sale platforms, and spreadsheets.

Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, confidentiality, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Professional communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with operational leaders and support departments.
