Job summary

Providence Swedish in Seattle is seeking a Construction Licensed Journeyman Refrigeration Mechanic to lead refrigeration and HVAC project installations, review project plans, estimate costs, and ensure budgets are met across Medical Center buildings.

This role also handles repairs and maintenance, ensures heating and cooling systems operate reliably, and may direct less experienced technicians as part of a collaborative team at Swedish First Hill.

Qualifications

• Basic HVAC certification from an accredited trade school.
• National EPA Section 608 Certification - State/County/City Trade License Authority.
• 10+ years' experience in refrigeration/HVAC installations, servicing, and maintenance.
• Reading blueprints and diagrams in the construction field related to refrigeration.
• Two-year trade school certificate emphasizing HVAC, electrical and building control systems.
• Successful completion of a 4-year Apprenticeship from a recognized Union emphasizing HVAC.

Responsibilities

• Installations, maintenance and repairs of hospital refrigeration/HVAC systems to ensure operational conditions across Medical Center buildings.
• Plan and review HVAC projects, estimate costs, and oversee budget adherence.
• Direct the work of less skilled technicians on projects as part of a collaborative team.
