UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas seeks a highly experienced Hospital Facilities leader to oversee complex construction, engineering, design, and operational initiatives while guiding the Facilities team. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in a related field, at least 10 years of progressively responsible experience, and a minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in related field.
• Experience: 10 years of progressively responsible experience, including 3 years in a supervisory capacity.
• Preferred: Hospital or clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists AVP in all aspects of facilities maintenance & operations, repairs, reporting, and oversight of renovations and construction projects.
• Relieves AVP of a wide variety of internal duties and decisions, which requires thorough understanding of the functions, programs, and policies of the organization.
• Manages and completes complex projects and reports, including major design and construction which may require significant contact with external departments and outside organizations.
• Provides leadership to the Hospital Facilities team and creates the project environment to deliver the desired results through teamwork, support and recognition.
• Evaluates and manages business decisions, employing risks management procedures to regulate contract pricing.
• Assists in supporting invoicing procedures to ensure timely compilation of materials, equipment, and utilization records, to facilitate complete and accurate invoicing of customers.
• Responsible for construction and engineering services, employee staffing, and oversight.
• Responsible for Survey readiness and preparedness and action plans for all surveys including TJC, CAP, LVAD, Stroke, etc.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
