Job summary

Compassus seeks a Hospice Area Executive of Clinical Operations (Hospice Administrator) to lead patient-care delivery and ensure regulatory compliance across the hospice program. This role models Compassus values and directs planning, staffing, and reporting within budget capabilities.

The position requires oversight of clinical services, oversight of vendor relationships, and collaboration with regional leadership to maintain high-quality outcomes and regulatory adherence.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree preferred or equivalent leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of hospice regulations and Medicare Conditions of Participation.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams in healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day patient/family care program operations and ensure high care quality.
• Monitor and report program performance, staffing, and budget adherence.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and quality of care.
• Lead Hospice Directors of Clinical Services and coordinate with regional leadership.
• Manage vendor relationships and service line performance (pharmacy, DME, lab, therapies).
• Recruit, hire, and develop clinical leadership; support budget planning.
