Job summary

Affinity Hospice is seeking a Clinical Manager to oversee hospice clinical services, ensuring coordinated, quality patient care across the organization. The role directs clinical operations, staffing, and education while maintaining regulatory compliance and community engagement.

The ideal candidate will have a registered nursing license, a BSN, and several years of hospice leadership experience, with strong teamwork and problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current RN license in the state of practice.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing from NLN-accredited program.
• 3+ years of leadership management experience in hospice or related health care.
• 2+ years direct hospice field experience.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise professional and administrative staff.
• Ability to market and interact tactfully with customers and community.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, deliver and manage patient care with clinical staff.
• Interpret operational indicators to assess census, staffing, and budget impact.
• Assist in hiring, evaluating, and terminating clinical personnel.
• Oversee content and compliance of all clinical notes, orders, and processes.
• Orient new staff and provide ongoing education.
• Lead in-services and continuing education programs.
• Ensure compliance with licensure, state/federal laws and ACHC/JCAHO standards.
• Promote hospice referrals in the healthcare community.
• Coordinate on-call, weekend, and vacation schedules for clinical staff.
• Respond to patient complaints with top priority and document appropriately.
• Participate in regulatory reviews and quality improvement activities.
