Job summary

LVI Associates is recruiting an experienced automation professional to design, implement, and support complex process control solutions for chemical and process manufacturing facilities in Houston. The role emphasizes Honeywell Experion PKS, SIS, and DCS expertise across capital projects and plant upgrades.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in automation, PE is beneficial, and a strong background in safety systems, PLCs, HMIs, and front-end engineering.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
10+ years of automation and process control experience.
Hands-on experience with Honeywell Experion PKS and TDC systems.
Familiarity with SIS, PLCs, HMIs, and other DCS platforms.
Professional Engineer (PE) registration is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

Lead control system engineering activities for capital projects and plant upgrades.
Design and configure distributed control systems, safety systems, operator interfaces, and networks.
Support the creation of control narratives, functional specifications, and operating philosophies.
Manage project scopes, scheduling, resources, budgets, and technical oversight.
Coordinate with project teams and stakeholders to provide progress updates and milestones.
Ensure automation deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations.
Provide technical guidance through design, commissioning, and startup phases.
