Job summary

VITAS Healthcare seeks an Home Medical Operations Manager to oversee warehouse and medical service drivers/technicians, warehouse operations, and equipment orders. You will coordinate office operations, dispatch, and inventory control while ensuring proper documentation and patient records.

The role includes interviewing, selecting, orienting, and managing drivers and technicians, with focus on overtime control.

Qualifications

Must have working knowledge of home medical equipment and supplies at a management level.
Bachelor’s degree preferable, but may be substituted by work experience.
Ability to travel to off-site locations.
Must have valid drivers license and automobile insurance.
Computer experience including Windows operating systems, inventory control, purchase order systems, word processing and spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

Manage and supervise warehouse and drivers/technicians.
Oversee warehouse operations and equipment orders.
Coordinate daily Home Medical Equipment office operations and dispatch.
Handle inventory control and documentation.
Purchase equipment and track expenses; maintain vendor files and patient records.
Interview, select, orient, review and manage staff.
Monitor and control overtime.
