Danta Technologies in Charlotte, NC and New Jersey is seeking a Hogan / Mainframe SME Engineer to support modernization from Hogan/Mainframe to a cloud-based core banking platform using Pismo. The role emphasizes reverse-engineering legacy functionality, documenting rules, and ensuring smooth migration.

The ideal candidate has deep Hogan expertise, hands-on legacy banking applications experience, and strong change-management and production support skills for a complex migration project.

• 10+ years of experience with the DXC Hogan platform.
• Strong expertise in COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS, and MQ.
• Hands-on Hogan modules and legacy banking applications.
• Experience reverse-engineering and documenting legacy applications.
• Experience supporting legacy modernization or cloud migration initiatives.
• Strong production support and change-management experience.

Responsibilities

• Reverse-engineer Hogan modules, including IDS, CIS, PEP+, ULS, DDA, or rail modules.
• Analyze COBOL applications and document embedded business rules.
• Develop extraction interfaces using VSAM, DB2, and MQ.

• Implement dual-write capabilities, rollback procedures, and legacy-side change controls.
• Serve as Hogan SME and source of truth for legacy behavior.

Role Summary

We are seeking a Hogan / Mainframe SME Engineer with strong experience in the DXC Hogan platform and Mainframe technologies to support a legacy modernization initiative and migration to Pismo.

The ideal candidate will have deep Hogan expertise and the ability to reverse-engineer legacy functionality, document business rules, and support the transition from Hogan/Mainframe to a modern cloud-based core banking platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Reverse-engineer Hogan modules, including IDS, CIS, PEP+, ULS, DDA, or rail-specific modules.
• Analyze COBOL applications and document embedded business rules and legacy functionality.
• Develop extraction interfaces using VSAM, DB2, and MQ.
• Support integration between legacy Hogan/Mainframe systems and the new Pismo platform.
• Implement dual-write capabilities, rollback procedures, and legacy-side change controls.
• Serve as the Hogan subject-matter expert and source of truth for legacy system behavior.
• Identify and document legacy capabilities for modernization and decommissioning.
• Support production changes and follow strong change-management processes.

Must-Have Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience with the DXC Hogan platform.
• Strong expertise in COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS, and MQ.
• Hands-on experience with Hogan modules and legacy banking applications.
• Experience reverse-engineering and documenting legacy applications.
• Experience supporting legacy modernization or cloud migration initiatives.
• Strong production support and change-management experience.

Nice To Have

• Previous Hogan-to-cloud/core banking migration experience.
• Experience with Pismo or similar modern core banking platforms.
• Exposure to ISO 20022.
• Experience with CA Endevor or Changeman.
