Daimler Truck North America is seeking a software architect and debugger to shape the Driver Experience domain for its HMI ECUs. You will lead architecture development for an Instrument Cluster, collaborating with global teams to deliver robust, maintainable solutions across Daimler Truck brands.

The role spans ideation, architecture, prototyping, validation, and release, with a hybrid work model and a strong focus on system-level safety and UX integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field with 5+ years of relevant software development experience.
• 3+ years of experience developing complex graphical user interfaces using Qt, OpenGL, React, Svelte, or comparable frameworks.
• Strong software engineering skills: modern C++, OO design, and maintainable architecture.
• Experience developing embedded automotive/software; familiarity with Git, CI/CD, automated builds, static analysis, and automated testing.
• Ability to communicate technical decisions and quality risks across global teams; works well in ambiguity.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, integrate, and maintain automotive HMI software for embedded platforms, primarily using Qt and C++.
• Translate system and UX/UI requirements into robust software solutions.
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and architecture assessments.
• Support software integration, debugging, and root-cause analysis across vehicle, test bench, and simulation environments.
• Define and drive software development standards, guidelines, and code-review criteria.
