Job summary

Axle Energy is seeking a Senior Advisor to support NHLBI’s HIV/AIDS Program with scientific administration, coordination, and financial management. The role requires a Master’s in a health or science field (Doctoral preferred) and 10+ years NIH program management experience.

Direct HIV/AIDS program experience is preferred, along with portfolio analysis and funding mechanism translation. The role emphasizes stakeholder communication, database management, and website updates, with a

Qualifications

Master's degree required; doctoral degree preferred.
Minimum of ten years NIH scientific program management experience.
Experience supporting NIH HIV/AIDS programs and committees.

Responsibilities

Develop and coordinate scientific initiatives (PA/RFA/RFPs) and manage program activities.
Plan, monitor, and conduct portfolio analyses to evaluate program effectiveness.
Maintain databases/spreadsheets and prepare reports on program progress.
Coordinate meetings, seminars, and communications across NIH Institutes and Centers.
Support NHLBI HIV/AIDS budget activities and grant coding.
