McCormick Taylor, Inc. is seeking a Senior Historian to join the Cultural Resources Department in Harrisburg, PA.

The role supports multiple historic resource surveys and reports in a collaborative, hybrid office setting, with strong emphasis on written, interpersonal, and oral communication and meticulous organization. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience, BA and MA degrees, and proficiency in MS Office 365 and GIS, with experience working with clients and regulatory agencies.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in cultural resources.
• BA and MA degrees required.
• Proficient in MS Office 365 and GIS.
• Experience with clients and state/federal agencies; ability to travel.

Responsabilités

• Plan and conduct historic resource surveys.
• Conduct and prepare historic resource survey reports, including eligibility reports and effects analysis.
• Develop and implement creative mitigation projects.
• Prepare mitigation documentation, including Memorandum of Agreements and Programmatic Agreements.
• Participate/lead consulting party and public meetings.
• Prepare project budgets and scopes of work.
• Successfully complete projects within allotted time frame and budget.
• Serve as a technical specialist or advisor.
• Maintain and cultivate relationships with clients and cultural resource review agencies.
• Assist with marketing efforts, writing proposals and business development.
• Perform QA/QC review for technical accuracy of work.
• Manage staff, including assigning tasks, coordinating workload, and supporting staff training and professional growth.
• Develop and implement public involvement programs.
