Job summary

Mirai Bio, Inc. is seeking a Senior Research Associate, Histology (Contract) in Cambridge, MA to support histology and in vitro assays within the Platform Group.

The successful candidate will perform tissue processing for histology, review slides, and help optimize immunohistochemistry readouts in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The role requires hands-on histology and cell culture experience, strong documentation, and ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams on

Qualifications

• Previous experience with histology evaluation and in vitro cell based assays is required.
• Strong cell culture experience, including executing protocols and troubleshooting assays.
• Prior experience with lipid nanoparticles is a plus.
• Proven ability to work independently and cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to convey technical information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory assays and tasks including processing tissues for histology and plate-based reporter assays.
• Review data slides to optimize and analyze immune histochemistry and immunofluorescence readouts.
• Help manage external vendors and CROs in support of histology assays.
• Develop or optimize assays based on knowledge of laboratory techniques.
• Analyze and accurately document assay results in electronic lab notebooks.
