Job summary

Nationwide IT Services seeks a Management Analyst III (HIPAA) to support the Department of Health and Human Services, OCR. The role centers on policy analysis, advising on HIPAA Privacy and Security rules, and developing OCR policies aligned with the OCR mission.

The incumbent will analyze and recommend improvements, coordinate with OCR leaders, and engage with federal/state agencies and stakeholders. Master’s degree and Public Trust II clearance are required.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, CS, Information Sciences or related field; 3 years of specialized experience at the GS-13/14 level.
  • Expert understanding of HIPAA policies.
  • Ability to obtain and retain a Public Trust clearance level II.
  • Ability to work well in a high-visibility, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical writing and communication skills.
  • Understanding of the public health or healthcare system/field.

Responsibilities

  • Provide policy analysis and advice on mission support issues related to OCR’s HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules and Cybersecurity initiatives.
  • Provide recommendations to improve OCR’s HIPAA and Cybersecurity projects; evaluate program efficiencies and overlaps.
  • Provide policy and regulatory analysis on OCR’s HIPAA and Cybersecurity initiatives to OCR leadership.
  • Input for OCR’s HIPAA and Cybersecurity initiatives on policy implementation.
  • Conduct high-quality research and analysis for OCR’s HIPAA and Cybersecurity initiatives.
  • Support intra- and inter-agency efforts to develop and implement mission activities.
  • Interface with federal/state agencies, regulated entities, and stakeholders.
