Job summary

Community Health Network is seeking a Senior HIM Technician to merge duplicate medical record and guarantor numbers, review overlaid records, and educate staff on proper workflows. The role requires updating demographics and scanning paperwork for deceased patients to ensure accurate patient status.

Preferred RHIT/RHIA certifications and an associate degree, though a combination of experience and education will be considered. Minimum 3+ years of health information experience is expected.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED (required).
• 2 year/associate degree (Preferred).
• In lieu of the above education requirements, a combination of experience and education will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Merge duplicate medical record and guarantor numbers and review overlayed records to educate staff on workflow and errors.
• Update patient and guarantor demographics as necessary and investigate and scan appropriate paperwork for deceased patients, updating patient status.
• Merge duplicate records in radiology system and generate weekly productivity reports.
• Analyze and report suspicious findings in assigned work queues.
