Job summary

Conifer Health is seeking a Senior Health Information Management (HIM) Specialist to provide HIM support at Hilton Head Hospital. The role emphasizes accurate chart imaging, indexing, and quality review within the EMR while maintaining HIPAA and privacy standards.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential. Preferred RHIT/RHIA certification and hospital HIM experience; high school diploma required; shift Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–4:30 PM;

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: RHIT or RHIA Certification.
• Two years experience in a hospital Health Information Management Department.

Responsibilities

• Document Imaging (Pages/Hour).
• Prepping and Scanning of records.
• Quality Review/Validation/Indexing of documents.
• Indexing into Document Management Solution/EMR with Timely completion.
• Respond to provider queries and missing documentation.
• Support chart analysis and data integrity tasks as needed.
• Maintain productivity metrics and meet production targets.
