Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking an Audit Associate to assist the HIM audit team in planning, evaluating, and reporting on the organization’s audit and compliance activities. You will coordinate with the HIM Director and Audit Manager to ensure adherence to standards and proper information release in line with laws and contracts.

The role requires healthcare experience and strong knowledge of medical terminology, coding guidelines, and EHR systems (Epic/BILH platforms).

Qualifications

• RN or LPN with HIM degree or coding cert preferred; equivalent working experience may be substituted.
• 3-5 years of healthcare experience is required.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and coding guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist the HIM audit manager in planning and evaluating procedures supporting HIM and BILH audit goals.
• Prepare and report status and outcomes of Audit & Compliance components.
• Serve as central communication resource to support audit requirements and follow-up.
