Job summary

Triveni IT in Palo Alto, CA, is seeking experienced HIL engineers to build and validate hardware-in-the-loop systems from the ground up. You will design, configure, and troubleshoot HIL environments, ensuring robust integration of electrical interfaces and model-based testing.

You will work with MATLAB/Simulink models, dSPACE platforms, and CAN/LIN/Ethernet networks, collaborating with controls and software teams to deliver validated automotive test benches for complex vehicle domains.

Qualifications

• 4–5+ years of HIL engineering experience.
• Experience building or standing up a HIL system from scratch.
• Strong hands-on experience with dSPACE – Required.
• Experience working in system-level automotive validation environments.
• Hands-on experience with MATLAB / Simulink.
• Experience with automotive communication protocols: CAN, LIN, Ethernet.
• Experience with Vector CANoe/CANalyzer is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build, configure, integrate, and validate HIL systems from the ground up.
• Own HIL environments through initial setup, integration, testing, troubleshooting, and validation.
• Gather system requirements and translate them into HIL test environments.
• Develop test plans and validation strategies.
• Perform electrical integration, wiring, and I/O mapping.
• Define and support HIL system architecture.
• Develop and integrate plant/system models using MATLAB/Simulink.
• Configure and work with dSPACE HIL platforms.
• Perform system-level validation of automotive systems.
• Work with CAN, LIN, and Ethernet communication interfaces.
• Use Vector tools such as CANoe/CANalyzer for communication analysis and testing.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, communication, and integration issues.
• Support multiple HIL system builds and validation programs.
• Collaborate with controls, electrical, embedded software, and vehicle engineering teams.
