Job summary

Pennoni is seeking a Senior Highway Transportation Engineer to lead the Highway Department in the Philadelphia Transportation Division. The role involves mentoring staff, managing multi-disciplinary projects with PennDOT District 6-0, the City of Philadelphia, and the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, and supporting highway design efforts across the Greater Philadelphia Area.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10–15 years of highway design experience.
• License required: Professional Engineer – PA.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Highway Department within the Philadelphia Transportation Division.
• Mentor and develop staff.
• Manage multidisciplinary projects with PennDOT District 6-0, City of Philadelphia and the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission.
• Support highway design projects for clients in the Greater Philadelphia Area.
• Ensure on-time, within-budget performance including schedule, cost and scope management.
• Prepare supplements when scope/schedule change due to unforeseen conditions.
• Develop and execute project-specific quality management plans.
• Prepare progress reports and invoices as the Project Manager.
• Experience in developing SOI and proposals for PennDOT, Turnpike Commission and others in the Philadelphia region.
