Job summary

Nebraska Department of Transportation (NDOT) is seeking a dedicated team player to operate heavy highway maintenance equipment and perform related field tasks. Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy highway maintenance equipment is preferred.
• CDL with tanker endorsement is required within the stated timeframe.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment such as loader, trucks, tractors, mowers, and hand tools.
• Perform preventative maintenance and assist with repairs.
• Patch potholes, repair signs, and maintain roadways, bridges, and culverts.
• Load and unload materials and respond to emergencies when called.
• Work long hours in emergencies and adverse weather.
