Job summary

State of South Carolina is seeking a Specialty Crew Leader to coordinate maintenance operations such as pavement patching, drainage work, and snow/ice removal. The role requires operating Jet Vac, backhoes, graders, and loaders, with daily HMMS entries and vehicle inspections.

Qualifications

• Two and a half years of related work experience or equivalent.
• Must obtain Class A CDL within six months of placement.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform in varied weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate maintenance operations including pavement patching and drainage.
• Operate Jet Vac and heavy equipment (backhoes, graders, loader).
• Maintain daily HMMS inputs and document inspections.
• Assist with traffic control devices and flagging in work zones.
• Perform pre-trip inspections and operate snow/ice removal equipment as needed.
