Job summary

Responsibilities include serving as Engineer of Record, mentoring staff, managing schedules and budgets, and supporting proposals. This position offers a competitive compensation package and full-time benefits.

Qualifications

• 16+ years of highway design experience.
• BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• P.E. license in Florida or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Strong knowledge of FDOT standards, specifications, policies and procedures.
• Experience with FDOT contract documents and roadway design; SE/Mid-Atlantic exposure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Engineer of Record on highway and roadway design projects.
• Lead senior-level technical design tasks, ensuring quality and compliance with standards.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineering staff.
• Assist with project management including scheduling, budgeting, and client coordination.
• Support proposal development, including technical writing and scope definition.
• Develop business opportunities in the Jacksonville and broader Florida market.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across WRA offices to deliver project outcomes.
