LVI Associates in South Florida seeks a seasoned transportation leader to act as second-in-command to the Director of Transportation. You will guide multidisciplinary projects from planning through design, overseeing budgets, schedules, and QA/QC while mentoring engineers and expanding client relationships across public-sector clients in Florida.

Transportation engineering consultancy serving FDOT, municipal, county, and other public-sector clients throughout Florida. The team is focused on roadway design, transportation improvements, complete streets, corridor enhancements, and multimodal infrastructure projects. This position works directly with the Director of Transportation and supports the strategic growth of the South Florida transportation practice.
Act as the second-in-command to the Director of Transportation with significant influence over project delivery, client relationships, business development, and team development. Lead multidisciplinary transportation projects from planning through design and delivery. Manage budgets, schedules, quality control, client communication, and mentor engineering staff while supporting market growth initiatives across South Florida.

Senior Highway Engineer, Transportation Project Manager, Roadway Project Manager, Senior Roadway Engineer, Transportation Lead, Highway Design Manager, Civil Engineering Project Manager (Transportation), Roadway Practice Leader. Target candidates from transportation consulting firms, civil engineering firms, infrastructure engineering companies, and public-sector transportation organizations. Adjacent backgrounds include municipal engineering, corridor planning, traffic/transportation design, and highway infrastructure delivery.
Strong client-facing communication skills; leadership and mentoring capabilities; business development aptitude; stakeholder management; ability to influence strategic initiatives; experience leading multidisciplinary teams; collaborative approach with roadway, drainage, traffic, structures, utilities, and survey professionals.
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Florida PE license preferred; reciprocity candidates considered. Typically 10+ years of transportation/highway engineering experience. FDOT District 4 experience strongly preferred. Existing relationships with Florida transportation agencies are advantageous but not required. Proven experience managing transportation projects and leading technical teams.
