Job summary

CDR Maguire Engineering, a multi-disciplinary firm, seeks a qualified Highway Design Engineer with 5+ years of experience for its Mechanicsburg, PA location (also open to Allentown, Williamsport or Pittsburgh offices). You will lead design teams on PS&E packages, perform complex highway engineering tasks, and support project managers across offices.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Engineering, a Professional Engineer license preferred, and proficiency with MicroStation, AutoCAD, Civil

Qualifications

• B.S. Degree in Engineering or related field required; Master’s Degree preferred.
• Minimum five (5)+ years of progressively responsible highway design experience.
• Professional Engineer License in good standing preferred.
• Knowledge of highway design standards, codes, and client design manuals.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities; able to guide design teams.

Responsibilities

• Act as Work Group Leader on small and mid-sized highway design projects.
• Perform drafting/checking of highway design drawings and computations.
• Prepare contract documents, plans, and sketches using approved software.
• Review shop drawings and perform geometry and quantity calculations.
• Assist in mentoring/coaching junior engineers and coordinating with PMs.
