Job summary

Ardurra is seeking a Senior Highway Engineer to join our Transportation team across Florida offices, including West Palm Beach, Miami, Orlando, Tampa, and more. The role entails leading roadway design efforts and supervising engineers and designers on complex projects.

You will oversee contract plans, specifications, and estimates, ensure compliance with standards, and contribute to project scope, budget, and schedule development while coordinating with clients and regulators.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• 10+ years of post-licensure transportation design experience.
• Proficient in MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer with ability to supervise.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
• Experience preparing final design plans, specs, and estimates.
• Strong verbal communication and technical writing skills.
• Strong analytical, time management, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs process design of multi-discipline transportation projects, evaluating alternatives and performing design calculations.
• Provide technical expertise to ensure compliance with design criteria and standards.
• Develops contract plans and prepares technical specifications and cost estimates.
• Assists with project scope, budget, and schedule development.
• Oversees day-to-day activities of engineers, designers, and technicians on projects.
• Perform quality control on engineering work products (calculations, models, drawings, reports).
• Assist with marketing and business development efforts.
• Coordinate with clients, discipline leads, sub consultants, regulators, and utilities.
