Texas Materials Group, Inc. is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee construction and asphalt projects in Texas. The role partners with senior management on project objectives, policies, and performance standards to ensure timely, on-budget delivery.

The ideal candidate will have highway construction experience, a Bachelor's in construction management or related field, and a valid driver's license. Travel and night/weekend work may be required, with emphasis on safety and team leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field or equivalent training/experience.
• Valid state driver's license with satisfactory driving record.
• Experience increasing responsibilities in highway construction or similar.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working culture for all employees and coordinate with safety personnel.
• Serve as project manager for construction crews and set objectives, policies and standards.
• Liaise with prime client and subcontractors to facilitate activities.
• Monitor project schedule and budget; implement corrective actions as needed.
• Develop and maintain the backlog for operations and assist in bidding.
• Recruit, hire, train, and discipline personnel; manage team development.
• Ensure compliance with safety, OSHA, MSHA, and environmental regulations.
