Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with steel/concrete design and geotechnical emphasis.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, review and approve temporary works for heavy highway projects.
• Lead engineering strategies for cofferdams, forms, shoring, and demolition sequencing.
• Provide practical guidance to field personnel to ensure safe, correct construction.
• Establish and enforce engineering standards, procedures and QC across projects.
• Oversee engineering risk, constructability reviews and safety impacts of methods.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations including PennDOT/OSHA.
• Sign and seal drawings and calculations as required after transition to full Chief Engineer.
• Liaise with PennDOT, design engineers, owners, reviewers, and regulators.
• Mentor staff and build long-term succession for the company.
• Support preconstruction, estimating and bid reviews with technical input.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with coursework or emphasis in steel and concrete structure design and geotechnical engineering
