Job summary

Sperton Global AS partners with a global power technology leader to hire a High Voltage Test Engineer for the U.S. Transformer Services team.

You will support advanced transformer testing projects, combining HV testing, technical analysis, field operations, and reporting. You’ll work with a specialized mobile HV test trailer, performing setup, testing, and completion of transformer testing at customer sites nationwide, with exposure to HV and EHV applications and strong emphasis on safety and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
10+ years of transformer/high-voltage testing experience.
Experience with IEEE/IEC/NEMA standards.
Hands-on experience with electrical testing equipment.

Responsibilities

Prepare, set up, and operate high-voltage testing equipment and trailer systems.
Perform HV testing of large power transformers at customer sites.
Conduct tests including applied voltage, induced voltage, PD localization, and temperature rise.
Analyze test data and identify abnormal conditions or issues.
Calibrate and verify electrical test equipment as required.
Prepare detailed technical test reports and communicate results to customers.
Travel regularly to customer sites across the United States.
