Job summary

Penguin Solutions is seeking a Senior PCB Design Layout Engineer to support high-performance memory and hardware products. This role centers on complex PCB layout for high-speed digital, mixed-signal, and power designs, from concept through production release.

The ideal candidate will bring 8+ years of PCB layout experience, Cadence Allegro and OrCAD Capture proficiency, and expertise with multi-layer HDI boards, impedance control, and length matching.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of PCB design/layout experience for high-speed digital, mixed-signal, and power designs.
• 5+ years hands-on Cadence Allegro and OrCAD Capture experience.
• Experience with 12-24+ layer boards, HDI, and advanced fabrication constraints.
• Knowledge of DDR4/DDR5, PCIe, CXL or other memory interfaces is a plus.
• Ability to collaborate with multiple engineering teams and customers.

Responsibilities

• Own PCB design layout execution from floor planning through fabrication release.
• Define board outlines, constraints, and keepouts; manage impedance targets.
• Perform placement, routing of differential pairs, and high-speed nets.
• Lead reviews (placement, routing, DFM) and mentor junior designers.
• Prepare fabrication drawings and release packages; interface with fabricators.
