Job summary

Keysight Technologies in Santa Rosa, CA is seeking an experienced design engineer to craft high-speed digital PC boards and implement FPGA/CPLD features. You will work with a product team to ensure designs meet performance, quality, and manufacturability requirements, in a lab environment.

The role requires on-site work in Santa Rosa with no telecommuting. You will collaborate across hardware, software, and test teams and contribute to invention disclosures and patent applications.

Qualifications

• BS, MS or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of signal integrity and high-speed digital circuit design.
• Experience in circuit and PCB board design; FPGA/CPLD programming.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a diverse product team to design, implement, and optimize high-speed digital PC board designs and subsystem solutions.
• Develop FPGA and CPLD code for your designs and the overall system.
• Collaborate with system, hardware, software, and test teams to define hardware requirements and performance.
• Model and optimize high-frequency high-speed digital I/O circuits and interconnects.
• Support investigation of next generation materials and stack-ups in PCB fabrication for signal integrity.
• Develop RF circuits and transitions for high-speed clocks.
• Select components, create schematics, and lay out circuitry using PCA design tools.
• Write comprehensive technical documentation and invention disclosures for patent protection.
• Ensure designs are manufacturable across the production lifecycle.
