Job summary

Until is building a world-class team to solve the rewarming challenge for organ-scale cryopreservation. You will own the power electronics hardware development for MHz-frequency rewarming systems, architecting high-Q networks and impedance matching while pushing safety and reliability in a lab setting.

The role demands deep knowledge of power electronics, electromagnetics, and high-energy hardware, with 7+ years of hands-on experience or equivalent advanced degree.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in high-energy power systems.
• Experience with high-frequency, high-voltage power converters and device-level modeling.
• Knowledge of SiC/GaN devices, EMI/EMC considerations, and impedance matching.
• Proficient with lab instrumentation for high-voltage/high-current systems.
• Proficient in SPICE, PSIM, and ANSYS Maxwell for pre-fab modeling.
• Track record of autonomous, high-quality hardware development.

Responsibilities

• Own power electronics hardware development for rewarming systems from architecture to validation.
• Architect novel power converter topologies and resonant networks.
• Conduct system-level tradeoffs across topology, frequency, voltage, insulation, and safety.
• Prototype, test, and debug hardware and instrumentation in the lab using rigorous practices.
• Design and operate advanced lab infrastructure for validating high-voltage, high-current systems.
• Collaborate with engineers, scientists, physicists, and cryobiologists to validate whole-organ systems.
