Job summary

AbbVie in South San Francisco seeks a physician leader to oversee direction, planning, execution, and interpretation of clinical development programs. You will participate in cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality clinical data aligning with product strategy.

Role requires MD/DO with 2+ years of trial experience, strong regulatory knowledge, and excellent English communication. Emphasis on GCP adherence and collaboration across functions to support global development efforts.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree or non-US equivalent with relevant therapeutic specialty.
• At least 2 years of clinical trial experience.
• Ability to run a clinical research program of moderate complexity.
• Ability to work with cross-functional global teams.
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manages design and implementation of one or more clinical development programs.
• Oversees study integrity and data interpretation for safety and efficacy.
• Designs and reports protocols, Investigator Brochures, and regulatory submissions.
• Oversees work of Medical Directors/Scientific Directors as needed.
• Provides in-house clinical expertise coordinating with internal stakeholders.
