Job summary

Keel is seeking a Heavy Lift Manager to supervise heavy lift, rigging, crane, and drydocking across government and commercial projects. You will coordinate lifts, ensure safety, and maintain compliance with NAVSEA, OSHA, and ASME standards while guiding crews and planning complex moves.

The role requires extensive experience in high‑risk industrial settings, reading engineering drawings, and coordinating with engineers and project teams to keep schedules on track.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• 7+ years in heavy rigging, crane ops, drydocking, complex fabrication moves.
• Experience in government ship repair, DOD contracting, or commercial marine environments preferred.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, NAVSEA, ASME B30 safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead crews of riggers, crane operators, and drydock staff; assign tasks and ensure training/certification.
• Uphold safety protocols; manage JHAs and ensure compliance with safety regs.
