Job summary

Raymond West is seeking an experienced Transportation Supervisor to lead and optimize transportation operations within our heavy haul and specialized transportation business. This exempt, salaried management role oversees a team of professional drivers, ensuring safety, productivity, and regulatory compliance while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Minimum 5 years of commercial driving experience, preferably heavy haul/specialized transport.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory/management experience in transportation or logistics operations.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations, FMCSA, Hours of Service, ELD, and compliance programs.
• Experience with heavy haul equipment, oversized loads, permitting, and route planning.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and develop drivers; coaching, performance management, and succession planning.
• Oversee daily heavy haul transportation activities; ensure safe and efficient execution.
• Monitor KPIs: on-time delivery, fleet utilization, and safety metrics; drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with DOT/FMCSA/HOS/ELD and company policies.
• Collaborate with dispatch, logistics, sales, operations, and project teams to optimize service delivery.
