Job summary

Janke General Contractors, Inc is seeking a mid- to senior-level Heavy Equipment Operator (Tier 4) to support bridge, dam, road, and waterfront projects across Wisconsin. The role focuses on operating specialized equipment, maintaining safety, and mentoring tiers 1-3 operators.

A minimum of four years’ experience and OSHA certification are required. Per diem of $100 for distant locations plus comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of experience operating heavy construction equipment.
• OSHA certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate assigned heavy equipment and related machinery.
• Lead, mentor and oversee Tier 1-3 operators on safety and best practices.
• Load and transport materials and heavy equipment as needed.
• Perform daily inspections and coordinate with maintenance for repairs.
• Adhere to OSHA standards and site safety protocols; participate in safety audits.
• Maintain logs of equipment usage and maintenance schedules; report incidents.
• Collaborate with senior supervision to develop efficient equipment deployment strategies.
