Job summary

Kalmar USA, Inc. in Memphis, TN is seeking a Senior Heavy Equipment Mechanic for Intermodal operations. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain Kalmar and third‑party equipment, delivering detailed service reports and technical guidance in a fast-paced field setting.

You will read schematics, perform preventative maintenance, and coordinate with engineering and sales teams. A technical diploma or equivalent is preferred, with a strong emphasis on safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years' experience maintaining/repairing heavy industrial equipment.
• Experience with Electrical Systems (AD/DC circuits, motors, relays) and Hydraulics/Pneumatics.
• Experience with Mechanical Systems (Powertrain, boom/lift assemblies, bearings, brakes).
• Experience with PLC Controlled Systems (preferred).
• Veterans and candidates with maintenance/repair experience on Kalmar, Taylor, MiJack and/or Remprex encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair and maintain Kalmar and third‑party equipment.
• Provide exceptional customer service with detailed reports and field guidance.
• Complete detailed documentation (labor, work orders, warranty, inspections).
• Collaborate with Product Engineering to develop field solutions; mentor junior staff when required.
