Empower Rental Group is seeking a Heavy Equipment Shop Mechanic in Memphis, TN to support our fleet at the Memphis branch. You will diagnose and repair powertrain, hydraulic, and electrical systems, perform preventative maintenance, and assist customers with load/unload and on-site questions.

The role requires 3-5 years of experience, tools of your own, and a valid driver's license where needed. Join a team focused on safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Over 3-5 years of experience in heavy equipment or mechanical roles.
• Valid driver’s license may be required for branch needs.
• Provide exceptional customer support and service during field visits.
• Excellent customer service skills for internal and external customers.
• Basic computer skills for work orders and tracking.
• Must have own basic tools.

Responsibilities

• Assists customers with loading and unloading fleet orders.
• Notes on rental tags and updates to work orders in RentalMan where applicable.
• Responds to customer questions and provides service as needed.
• Assists other mechanics with lifting or moving heavy objects.
• Maintains a clean yard and shop area.
• Performs repairs on the heavy equipment fleet as directed.
• Diagnoses complex issues with powertrain, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Completes inspections and standard/complex repairs to the fleet.
• Open and close work orders for internal and external customers.
