Job summary

Anderson Trucking Service seeks a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to inspect, service, repair and maintain fleet assets, including hydraulic and electrical systems, air brakes, and fabrication work. This role emphasizes diagnostics, safety, and road readiness.

You will perform welding and fabrication, interpret hydraulic schematics, and use OEM diagnostic tools to locate faults and complete timely repairs on trucks and trailers.

Qualifications

• Requires degree/diploma in Heavy Equipment/Diesel tech or 5+ years relevant experience with AED pre-assessment passing ≥65%.
• Must obtain AED Industry Certified Technician with ≥70% within 1 year of hire.
• ASE T4/T5/T6/T8 certifications required within 1 year of hire.
• 5+ years welding experience.
• Strong knowledge of fluid power systems and hydraulic diagnostics.
• Ability to read hydraulic schematics and perform pressure testing.

Responsibilities

• Possess diagnostic capabilities on hydraulic and electrical steer systems on equipment.
• Weld steel/aluminum to repair parts or fabricate replacement parts.
• Repair and maintain various hydraulic and electrical steer systems.
