Job summary

Anderson Equipment Company is seeking a Service Technician to diagnose and repair heavy construction equipment across a range of diesel, gas, and electric machines. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, component rebuilding, and documenting work orders with safety-first practices.

The role requires a minimum of 2 years in heavy equipment repair, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a technical degree or military training. Tools provided, on-site positions, salary DOE.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two year technical degree or military training considered a plus.
• Minimum 2 years work experience in heavy equipment repair and maintenance.
• Must be able to demonstrate working knowledge of equipment operations, mechanical functions, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Proficiency with computers and diagnostic programs provided by manufacturers.
• Ownership of adequate hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair heavy diesel, gas and electrically operated construction equipment.
• Diagnosing operational difficulties; disassemble and reassemble equipment, replacing defective parts.
• Work independently or with senior technicians to rebuild components such as engines, transmissions, hydraulic cylinders and hydraulic pumps.
• Prepare parts requisitions and enter requisitions into the Company's computer system.
• Must be capable of performing heating, brazing, soldering, burning and minor welding not requiring certified welding skills.
• Technician will use Anderson's systems to document work orders, track progress of repairs and order parts. Focus on safety protocols and regulations must be maintained at all times.
