Job summary

Pape’ Kenworth in Ferndale, WA is seeking a Journeyman Truck Technician / Mechanic to service medium and heavy-duty class 7/8 trucks in our shop. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain trucks to maximize uptime while guiding others with your expertise.

The role requires strong mechanical skills, self-motivation, and the ability to work with limited supervision. We offer competitive pay and robust benefits to support you and your family.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience on medium and heavy-duty class 7/8 trucks including engines, electrical systems, HVAC and chassis repair.
• Kenworth Essentials certifications preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge; Cummins and MX software experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair medium and heavy-duty class 7/8 trucks in the shop.
• Diagnose and analyze complex truck malfunctions to determine corrective actions.
• Repair or rebuild cabs, steering, engines, transmissions, axles, differentials, brakes, clutches, electrical and air systems as needed.
• Maintain and service trucks to maximize uptime and life of vehicles.
• Collaborate with team and mentor others to uphold safety and quality standards.
