Job summary

Midwest Peterbilt Group is seeking a Service Technician- Class A at Peterbilt of Sioux City to perform advanced diagnostics, repair, and overhaul of heavy‑duty trucks with minimal supervision. You will lead in the Service Department, mentoring junior technicians and ensuring quality workmanship.

The role requires high school diploma or GED, 2+ years in heavy-duty truck repair, and strong diagnostic skills. CDL preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of experience in heavy-duty truck repair.
• Intermediate computer skills, including diagnostic software and service systems.
• Technical or diesel technology degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostics on engines, electrical, fuel, emissions, and drivetrains.
• Disassemble, inspect, and rebuild components with proper tools and devices.
• Mentor and train Class B, C, and Intern technicians; provide guidance on complex issues.
