Job summary

Midwest Peterbilt Group is seeking an entry-level Service Technician- Class C to perform basic maintenance and repairs on medium-duty to heavy-duty trucks. You will learn diagnostics, support shop productivity, and maintain safety standards in a supervised setting.

Responsibilities include assisting senior techs, reading repair orders, and communicating repair needs. A High School diploma or GED and diesel tech training are preferred; CDL optional but helpful.

Qualifications

• Hands-on shop work with tools and machinery.
• Read and interpret repair orders and instructions.
• Basic to intermediate computer skills for service systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and basic mechanical repairs.
• Assist in inspections and preventative services.
• Diagnose basic mechanical/electrical issues under supervision.
• Ensure safety, quality, and timely completion of tasks.
