Job summary

Curtis Contracting, Inc. is seeking a Heavy Civil Senior Project Manager to lead complex highway and civil construction projects from inception to closeout. You will coordinate teams, manage schedules, budgets, and safety compliance while maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships.

The ideal candidate has a proven track record of delivering large-scale projects, strong leadership skills, and a results-driven mindset to advance our heavy civil division in Virginia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field.
• At least 10 years of progressive construction experience on large-scale projects.
• 5+ years of supervisory leadership.
• Strong negotiation skills and relationship building with owners, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Proficiency with project management software and scheduling tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate all project phases within budget and quality standards.
• Develop, update, and manage project schedules including critical path.
• Lead project teams including field supervision, engineers, and subcontractors.
• Identify and mitigate project risks to maintain continuity.
• Enforce safety, quality, and environmental policies on projects.
• Administer contract requirements and change orders efficiently.
• Track budgets, costs, and financial forecasting for profitability.
• Manage procurement and ensure proper insurance coverage.
